We were blessed to be awarded the Libraries Transform Grant!

We, the Partridge Public Library, are VERY THANKFUL to South Central Kansas Library Systems for the Libraries Transform Grant that they awarded to us. 

A Libraries Transform Grant is a matching Grant and our community stepped up and gave generously and made it possible for us to qualify for this grant.

    The Libraries Transform Grant was tremendous in the way it helped provide a way for our library to acquire the resources needed for us to have this beautiful library, that would otherwise have been very difficult to achieve.

    The amount we received through this grant was $13,201.00, and through the community fundraiser and memorial funds we received, it was possible for us to match that. 

Interior improvements include shelving, storage, cabinetry, network wiring & other needs

Remove cabinetry from old building and install into new workroom; remove & adjust computer counters for use in new building

We are now open at our New location!

Stop in and enjoy the new space!

We have changed our Monday hours to 3:00 – 8 pm. The hours on our other days will stay the same.

We have a few new programs that we are starting this fall that I want to share about.

    Every Monday is Maker Mondays. We will have a Makerspace Cart available on Mondays with a variety of craft supplies for you to create whatever you want, with the supplies provided.

   On the 2nd & 4th Thursday of the month from 3:30 – 5:00 pm we will be having Builder’s Club for elementary age children for building & construction fun. During this time, we will have different types of building materials out and your child can build on their own or with a friend. Some days I will designate what to build using the materials on hand and other days it will be a time of free play. Depending on what the project is, we will display what was created, until the next Builders Club.

   PLAY & CHAT is starting back up this fall. It begins Wednesday Oct 1, 2025. It will be the 1st & 3rd Wednesday of each month, from 10:30 – 11:30 am. At 10:30 a story will be read to the kids and the rest of the time will be unstructured for kids to play and build social skills. While the children play, Moms will be able to chat and socialize as well. There will be toys, coloring pages, and simple crafts geared for young children available for you and your kiddos to enjoy together. Popcorn and water will be available for snacking.
